Martin Durocher
A creator since his teenage “riot” years, Martin has been involved in music, sports, theatre, movie making and production. His early twenties were spent traveling the world, producing action sports movies, playing music and finishing his university degrees in Communications and Politics at University of Montreal.
Martin joined the ranks of the world famous Just for laughs festival in 2001 where he worked in political relations before producing shows and later becoming a key creative figure within the organization. In 2005, Martin founded his first multimedia business. Ataraxie Media Inc. quickly became a key provider of web-video entertainment for the likes of Labatt, Sport Experts, Videotron, Musique Plus, Sunice and more.
As a consultant, Martin signed up in September 2009 as General Manager and Artistic Director for Zoofest, a young and vibrant festival dedicated to emerging artists in Comedy, Music, Circus and Theatre. The festival, held in Montreal every summer in July, is now THE hotspot for the hip and trendy youth who wants to discover groundbreaking artists before anyone. Consulting being one of Martin’s passions, he recently accepted to take the head of programming of Juste pour rire, the francophone counterpart to Just for laughs.
With Bite Size Entertainment, Martin is Head of Creation and Brand Strategist. But mostly, he is a devoted partner who gives everything he has to take clients to the next level in terms of creativity, brand loyalty and reach. His approach to marketing is viral and his thinking is social. Martin believes Bite Size Entertainment is the ultimate reunion of talent, passion and knowledge in one business venture.
